Professor Northop Frye, especially in his pivotal and crucial Anatomy of Criticism, might not have been the only one to state the following, but, he was certainly the first who started me thinking when he stated, "'What follows from the fact that [the study of literature] is possible?'"
Indeed . . . everything seems to be a text. We are READING all the time, even in completing the most mundane of tasks. We are always interpreting, creating our own scholarship through life.
